The Raw Food Diet

It's definitely not news to anyone that I have very poor eating habits, and have begun passing them down to my daughter. When all you do is eat out, and stuff yourself full of chicken wings that you fall asleep in a matter of seconds when you get home, you know you have an eating/unhealthy problem. I have gained about 30lbs from my pre-baby days that I have left to shed and refuse to leave my body be. So me and mother have decided to look into this "Raw Diet" thing.

So what is the Raw Diet? Well it's pretty much that 75% of your diet consist or raw or uncooked foods like:

Unprocessed, preferably organic, whole foods such as:
  • Fresh fruits and vegetables
  • Nuts
  • Seeds
  • Beans
  • Grains
  • Legumes
  • Dried fruit
  • Seaweed
  • Unprocessed organic or natural foods
  • Freshly juiced fruit and vegetables
  • Purified water
  • Young coconut milk
I'm not trying to do this diet just to lose weight, of course that is a huge benefit, but I really want to do it because the benefits are very substantial. I want more energy to run with Truly, and more energy for myself. I feel like it's such a struggle to just get out of bed. I want to be able to feel more relaxed. I'm like always irritable and mad for no reason at all, and I feel grumpy. Mainly because I'm just fatigued, tired, and feeling horrible about how none of my clothes no longer feel nice on my body.

So here is my next big step into becoming a healthier me!

  1. I can relate. I was on the healthy track, but fell off the wagon. It felt really good when I was on though. I actually craved healthy foods, took my own foods on the go with me and traded in my regular sodas for the Hansen's brand.

    Good luck!
